Nas has announced his second Hit-Boy-produced Magic album of the summer, and it’s coming out on his 50th birthday—Thursday, September 14. Magic 3 is the rapper’s follow up to July’s Magic 2, which features guest appearances from 50 Cent (“Office Hours”) and 21 Savage (“One Mic, One Gun”). Check out the new album’s artwork below.
A cryptic video posted to Nas’ Instagram last week teasing “The Finale” led to speculation about the rapper’s retirement, but the announcement of Magic 3 confirms the completion of Nas’ second consecutive trilogy of Hit-Boy-produced albums. The pair first worked together on the Grammy-winning 2020 LP King’s Disease and promptly followed it up with two sequels: King’s Disease II and King’s Disease III. He released Magic on Christmas Eve in 2021.
Later this month, Nas is set to embark on the North American leg of his joint NY State of Mind Tour with the Wu-Tang Clan.
