The Detroit musician gives the track a twist before its original version is even released
Róisín Murphy has tapped Moodymann to remix “What Not to Do,” an as-yet-unreleased song from her upcoming album Hit Parade. Listen to the Detroit musician’s spin on the track below.
There’s still some time to go before the DJ Koze-produced Hit Parade is finally out on September 8 via Ninja Tune. In addition to the Best New Tracks “CooCool” and “The Universe,” her seventh LP also includes the singles “Fader” and “You Knew.” Murphy is currently on tour and will stay on the road through late fall.
Murphy also shared additional remixes of “You Knew” by London producer Payfone and New York house artist Eli Escobar. Last month, Jessie Ware enlisted Róisín Murphy for a new version of her That! Feels Good! track “Freak Me Now.”
Read Pitchfork’s recent feature “Life, Death, and Disco in Ibiza With Róisín Murphy” and see why her single “Fader” was included in “20 Contenders for 2023’s Song of the Summer.”
